APGA RETREAT: Frontline Senatorial Aspirant, PRINCE UKACHUKWU LAUDS PARTY FOR SETTING POSITIVE POLITICAL PRECEDENT

Frontline APGA Aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial Seat, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has described the just concluded retreat of the APGA as an indication of the party's commitment towards changing the political narrative of the country for the better.
Prince Ukachukwu who participated in the retreat, disclosed this at the end of the one-day event held in Anambra State Capital City of Awka.

The APGA Senatorial aspirant for Anambra South said the retreat has countless benefits for not only the Party but also for the nation's political system as it will engender conversations that will  bring about positive change in the way political parties are run.
"Part of issues raised at the retreat centres on how the party can be run independently without placing heavy financial burden on Governor Obiano who as at now remains the only APGA governor. We the aspirants were exposed to our responsibilities towards the sustenance of the party and we all agree that that is the best way to go. This falls specifically into my agenda to support APGA make in-roads into other parts of the SouthEast and Nigeria. I have political allies who are willing to join this movement to salvage the hapless condition of our people," he opined.
Ikukuoma also observed that bringing aspirants under APGA from all over the country together, will promote cordial interactions, cement trans-state/tribe relationship and resource sharing.
This according to him, is what is required to make the party a true National Party.
His words, "while we strive to firm APGA's roots in the SouthEast where it all started, we must make calculated efforts to have a handshake with our brothers from all other parts of the country to be able to make our party a true National Party. I have no doubt in my mind that APGA has the solutions to the problems that have hit nation's political arena but we can only implement the agenda we have when we infuse our relevance at the centre."
On the issue of lack of party ideology which has informed the massive defections rocking the Nigerian Political Space, Prince Ukachukwu said APGA with its mantra of "Be your brothers keeper", has a practical tradition of performance, equity and fairness as is enshrined in its manifestos, adding that through the performance of its successive governors in Anambra State, the party had set a minimum performance yardstick for all its candidates.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the Party's present leadership to steer APGA towards the desired destination.
Hear him, "With Chief Dr Willie Obiano as the National Leader and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Party and Ozonkpu Victor Oye as the National Chairman, I think APGA is in safe hands. I am confident that the party's upcoming primaries will be free, fair and credible and that will form the basis on which APGA, our great party will advance beyond expectations in 2019.
