Frontline APGA Imo Governorship Aspirant, Mr Nneji takes his "Rebuild Imo" message to the media

A movement to change the narrative of Imo State and give her the rightful place in the nation's socio-economic space today commenced in the State's capital of Owerri.
The event tagged "Corporate Media Interaction with Frank Nneji OON, Founder, ABC Transport Plc," attracted major political stakeholders in Imo State, friends of Frank Nneji and key players in the print, broadcast and online media outlets in Southeast and beyond.

Running under the campaign slogan, "Rebuild Imo", the political ambition of Mr Nneji banks on a 3-point pillar of economic development that centers on Agriculture, Light industries and Tourism and on 6 enablers - security, transportation, education, power, healthcare and ease of doing business.
In a presentation, the convener and front line APGA Governorship aspirant in Imo State, Mr Nneji, explained that if elected, his government has envisioned to create a true Eastern Heartland  where citizens have a sense of pride and residents have opportunities to actualize their dreams.
According to him, IMO over the years, due to bad leadership, is plagued with massive socio-economic challenges such as high insecurity, political instability, disappearance of investment index, poor healthcare, unproductive civil service due to poor incentive among others.
"What is happening in Imo State is that government has become the meal ticket for very few rich people. There is a very negative mentality that is thriving and we cannot solve our problems with the same mentality that created them. My philosophy is that the greatness of our dear State can only be revealed when our political ideology and philosophy is redefined."
Mr Nneji noted that although Imo has a population of about 5.3 million, his government will leverage on its unique location that avails her a large market of over 47 million people across the southeast and south south and explore the various angles of its economy for the ultimate good of the people.
On Agriculture and light industries, Mr Nneji explained further, "we will leverage on the palm oil potentials of our state to cultivate about 10,000 hectares of palm trees while more industries will be established and captive power projects developed to sustain them. These two sectors have the capacity to generate unimaginable job opportunities for our young people."

"One thing that will be peculiar with my administration, is that we will institute the Imo first policy, which will enable us promote our own locally made products. What ever we can produce locally cannot be sourced outside".

He noted that with over 35 years experience in creating businesses and wealth opportunities for the youths, he has what it takes to lift Imo from the dungeon it has found itself economically.
On how he will find the fund to actualize all his lofty visions for Imo state, the transport guru said his government will leverage on tax efficiency, prudent management of available resources, multi-lateral donor agency financing, collaboration with Ndi Imo in the Diaspora among many other initiatives to achieve effective funding for his budget.
He appealed to Imo people not to be swayed by the backwardness the state faces presently, but to be hopeful and join hands with him to build a new Imo State of everyone's dreams.

Earlier in his remarks, the Coordinator /Admin Secretary, Rebuild Imo Organisation, Mr Brent Akomas Chukwudi explained that the event is to bring major players in the media together to engender a conversation that will yield in concrete efforts towards salvaging the poor state of Imo.
Born in 1960, Mr Frank Nneji, a seasoned and proven business leader, has the philosophy of leading with a combination of hard work, clarity of purpose, team spirit and integrity.
He is happily married to Mrs Ngozika Nneji and the marriage is blessed with four children.
