Our correspondent gathered that the owner of the containers, one Mrs Blessing Nwafor who was not around during the incident, had reportedly left three of her children, Chiemerie, Onyedika and Esther inside the container and they were all burnt beyond recognition.
Although the cause of the fire is not known yet, the Police says investigation is on to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Confirming the incident in a statement, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed said Policemen attached to the Awada Division had cordoned off the area and moved the charred remains of the victims to a nearby hospital where they were certified dead by medical personnel.
