Forget Anambra 2025 Gov’ship, You can’t even get APC Ticket, APGA Chieftain cajoles United Nigeria Airlines Chairman

Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, has been told to jettison his governorship ambition for the 2025 Anambra Guber Election, as he cannot even land the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chinedu Obigwe, who gave the advice in a statement on Saturday, said Okonkwo is only a pretender in the governorship race in Anambra State, and not a politician who makes calculated political moves.

Okonkwo had recently declared his intention to contest the November 8, 2025, Anambra State Governorship election under the APC .

But, Obigwe is insisting that Okonkwo is desperate to become governor, but lacks the political savvy to achieve his goal.

He also criticized Okonkwo’s decision to challenge Governor Chukwuma Soludo to a public debate, advising him to first secure the APC ticket or defect to another party before making such demands.

“As at today, he is just a rabble rouser that does not deserve Governor Soludo’s attention for debate,” Obigwe stated.

The APGA chieftain praised Governor Soludo’s performance in office, citing the successful launch of Operation Udo ga achi, which has tackled the insecurity problem in the state.

Obigwe’s statement read in part, ”Like I said in one of my recent write up, Obiora Okonkwo will be disgraced again in the forthcoming November 8 governorship election.

“He will not get APC ticket and even if he defects to any unknown party to contest the election, he will receive the same treatment that Anambra electorates gave him in the last 2021 governorship election.

”My reason for saying this confidently is because Obiora Okonkwo is not a politician that makes calculated political moves hence the reason he has not been able to win any election in Anambra since he started contesting for election in the State.

“As for him challenging Governor Soludo to a public debate, I will advise him to first scale the difficult hurdle of clinching APC ticket as their candidate for the 2025 governorship election or as usual defect to an unknown party to clinch their ticket for the purpose of contesting the 2025 governorship election so that he will be qualified for a public debate with Governor Soludo.

“As at today, he is just a rabble rouser that does not deserve Governor Soludo attention for debate.”
