The Lecturer with Theatre Arts and Films Studies Department of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Dr Chukwudi Michael Okoye on Thursday spoke with newsmen for the first time on what transpired between him and a student that led to the female student assaulting him.
The Lecturer, who spoke today after visiting a disciplinary committee set up by the University over the matter at the Administrative Block of the institution, said he was leaving a classroom for his office when he met the young lady doing a TikTok video along the corridors of the department.
Dr Okoye explained that he only requested that the video be deleted when he saw that it was a TikTok video, adding that he returned back to the student when she made the insulting comment, to ascertain whether the young lady was a student.
He noted that he would leave the entire matter in the hands of the disciplinary to take action.
