It is a mark of excellence to acknowledge and appreciate efforts made by others that enable one to grow especially when such a person have actually attained such advancements.
So, for the winning PDP team in Ogbaru, it was a day to give thanks to God for his mercies and to their constituents, for their amazing support that guaranteed a hundred percent victory for the party in the Area.
Central School Field, Atani, venue for an Inter-denominational Service to mark the Thanksgiving event was filled to capacity with partyfaithful from the wards in the council area as well as dignitaries from within and outside the state including the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, Former Secretary to Anambra State Government, Mr Oseloka Obaze, members of the National Assembly among others.
It will be recalled that during the general elections conducted earlier this year, Senator Stella Odua of the PDP was returned for a second term as the member representing Anambra North Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly while Prince Chukwuka Onyema also won reelection as the member representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
In the State Assembly elections, Mr Noble Igwe and Somtoo Udeze both of the PDP, emerged as members representing Ogbaru State Constituencies One and Two respectively.
The thanksgiving event was a clear demonstration of the party's dominance in Ogbaru and the people's general acceptance of its candidates across board.
In a sermon, the Anglican Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese, the Right Reverend Prosper Amah who described thanksgiving as capable of sparking more blessings, said now that the elections are over, it is important that politicians focus on delivering the dividends of good governance they promised the people.
Former Anambra State Governor, Mr Peter Obi said the PDP represents the new struggle for the emancipation of the people from the shackles of poverty and backwardness that the country has found itself in presently and thanked Ogbaru people for standing up for people who have their interest at heart.

In their separate remarks, Senator Odua, Hon Onyema, Hon Udeze and Hon Igwe thanked the people for the confidence reposed in them and promised that they will not relent in seeking better ways to make life more meaningful for them.
