It was a clear display of generosity and love, as renowned businessman and philanthropist, Chief Onyebuchi Henry Ozo popularly known as Ozo Benhen donated food items and doled out cash as palliatives to support his people cushion the hardship brought about by the corona virus pandemic.

The food items which include mini bags of rice and cartons of indomie, were handed over to the people at the townhall of Awha Ndiagu in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu State.

The brief ceremony reflected the love which Ozo Benhen has for his people and his people’s appreciation of his genuine interest for their wellbeing as he went round the hall on arrival to touch base with his people.

Presenting the items, Ozo Benhen said the gesture was pure borne out of the desire to touch the lives of his people and help them overcome the challenges of the time.

In his words, “When God gives us wealth, it is to be used for the benefit of humanity and what I am doing is just my own way of giving back to the society. Awha Ndiagu is a blessed town but many of our illustrious sons are afraid to bring back their wealth to impact their people.

“I use this opportunity to appeal to them to heed the clarion call to contribute towards the growth and development of Awha Ndiagu. Together, we will make our community great. I will on my own continue to do my best to ensure that my people are comfortable. That is my agreement with my God and I won’t stop,” he said.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke at the event, Messres Simon Chiama and Obiorah Omeri expressed appreciation to Ozo Benhen for the gesture and described him as a good man with a large heart.

According to them, “This is what we have been lacking in our community-people who will take the bull by the horn and work for the emancipation of our people. Ozo Benhen has been a worthy son of Awha Ndiagu. Aside the numerous projects he has done for people, whenever he comes to the town, there is always an air of joy and happiness because of the kind of things he does. We pray that God will reward him immensely.”

While noting that a tree does not make a forest, the duo called on other hi-networth sons and daughters of Awha Ndiagu to rally round him to achieve his lofty vision for the community.

Special prayers were at the ceremony said for Ozo Benhen and his family even as the people sang joyously in appreciation for what he had done.
