‘You are gambling with World War III,’ Trump trades angry words with Ukrainian President Zelensky at Meeting (See Video)

The United States President, Donald Trump on Friday accused the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky of taking actions that might result in World War III by the war he is handling support for the country in its war against Russia.

There were angry exchanges between Trump and Zelensky at White House, where both presidents met, with Trump rebuking his Ukrainian counterpart, telling him to be more "thankful" for US support.

The US President also accused him of "gambling with World War Three" by not going along with ceasefire plans led by Washington.

This comes a week after Zelensky said Trump was "living in a disinformation space" created by Russia, with the US leader accusing Zelensky of being a "dictator".

Zelenskyy had devolved into a shouting match during the meeting , questioning the kind of diplomacy America was engaging in, as Donald Trump threatens: “You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out.”

The Ukrainian President appeared to be warning the US to be wary of its actions, reminding them 'of what they will feel in the future', if they do not stand up against the enemy now.

Zelenskyy leaves the White House abruptly without signing a minerals deal and declines to apologise for the blowup, but insists that he respects Trump and the US.

Trump says the Ukrainian president “disrespected” the US and “overplayed his hand”.

He also calls for an “immediate ceasefire” between Ukraine and Russia.
