Anambra State Government has declared that it holds no interest and would allow the people of Enugwu-Agidi in Njikoka Council Area of Anambra State conduct its forthcoming President-General election scheduled to hold December 29, 2025, under the fairest conditions.

The Anambra State Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne reiterated the stance in a letter to the people of Enugwu-Agidi, in which he assured them that the Chukwuma Soludo Government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the scheduled PG elections is free, fair and credible.

In the letter dated, December 23, 2025, Hon. Nwabunwanne stated that he will be physically present during the election, while outlining those who will serve as the returning officers.

In the same vein, the PG of Enugwu-Agidi, Hon. Ebuka Onuorah has reeled out his score card in the 3 years he served as PG.

His accomplishments include installation of CCTV cameras at strategic places in the community, placement of some indigent members of the community on stipends, empowering the youths with tech skills and federal jobs, building bridges and roads, among others.

These accomplishments set Hon Onuorah ahead, among every other contestant, as well as set quite a standard yet to be equaled by any PG in Anambra State.

It will be recalled that opinion polls conducted earlier in the month by an independent NGO, Fact Reporters Network among members of Enugwu-Agidi community shows that over 85 percent of respondents were happy with the performance of Ebuka Onuorah as their PG and that they will re-elect him.

The remaining 10 percent said they are indifferent and would not participate in the election.
